Elisha Woods – Elisha is well versed in the music industry; he is a consummate professional as well as a very skilled in marketing and promotions. Elisha’s skills and experience of the music industry is quite extensive, being an owner and Chief Executive Officer of his first independent record label Hitlab Entertainment Elisha was able to put his stamp on the underground hip-hop market with the company’s first artists, Hip-hop recording artists Mr. Chief.
By running a strong gross roots campaign Elisha was able to establish an immense market for the artist in the Delaware valley area at the same time promoting the Hitlab brand, which brought success to the label in 2004. Hitlab Entertainment was on the path to success with Mr. Chief along with the signing of the labels first pop female Pop sensation Rivy. The label was sure to succeed with the staff that Elisha had in place but because of market change and industry standards evolving, Elisha decided to dissolve Hit Lab Entertainment. With a newfound purpose and focus Elisha formed a new music company, Invigorator Recordz LLC in 2005.
With a strong will and mindset of failure not being an option, Elisha started Invigorator with a budget of 200 Thousand Dollars. Elisha brought over Charles Council from Hitlab Entertainment appointed him the C.O.O. Of Invigorator and hired a new staff. Then he signed the labels first recording artist Aaron Kane.
Elisha and Charles derived an over all marketing plan for the company brand and artist. With in a 12-month period company catapulted with the release of Aaron’s Debut single (Gotta Love). The single debuted # 7 in Billboard Magazine’s Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop /Single sales in 2006, the single grossed 1.5 Million Dollars without aid of a major or independent distribution company.
Chief Operating Officer
Charles Council – The music industry needs individuals who are administratively competent and musically eclectic. Both skills are necessary in order to have success in the music industry. Charles Council is the exemplary of both skill sets. Starting his career with Hit Lab Music LLC as Assistant Director of Promotions Charles was in charge of street team promotions and each promotional campaign for the artist. Working with the record labels Hip-Hop artist Mr. Chief Charles helped promote this artist and also had a limited role in deciding what songs would be on the first CD release. Working along side artist and actually implementing the marketing and promotional plans from a grass root standpoint, has given Charles valuable experience that was and will be utilized for all future endeavors. Also, while working for Hit Lab Entertainment LLC Charles was able to build a report with a number of industry personal. Establishing these relationships and having field experience in marketing and promotions lead Charles to gain the trust of founder and CEO Elisha Woods.
Because of market change and industry standards evolving, Elisha decided to dissolve Hit Lab Entertainment. With a newfound purpose and focus Elisha formed a new music company, Invigorator Recordz LLC. He envisioned the company being a trendsetter. With him being motivated to accomplish this specific goal he had to assemble a team of experience and competent executives. Knowing that marketing is an essential part of any company especially a record label; Elisha decided to appoint Charles Council as Marketing Director / Director of Promotions. In this new position is where Charles flourished the most. Charles designed and help implement multiple marketing plans and directives. One of his first tasks was to coordinate a campaign for the recording artist Freeway. Invigorator Recordz and the Artist teamed up for a number of promotional shows from Philadelphia to the Virginia Beach area. Properly promoting the collaboration, the campaign was a success.
This display of marking skill and showing the ability to handle the enormous administrative complexities of such events: earned Charles the opportunity of becoming the COO of Invigorator Recordz. Elisha decided that certain changes would benefit the record label and promoting Charles to COO was first priority. This investment would soon pay dividend as Elisha and Charles derived an over all marketing plan for the brand and artist. Composing and executing the promotional plan allowed for immediate success as their catalyst artist Aaron Kane charted in Billboard Magazine.
Charles has worked from the ground up in the music industry: starting as assistant to holding the title of COO in his last position. Experience working in the field or in the office Charles is a rarity in his respective industry. He is now set and poised to have newfound and immediate success in all future endeavors.
